  1. United Nations World Autism Awareness Day is annually observed across the globe on 2 April to raise awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and promote livelihood of people having autism. The theme of World Autism Awareness Day 2023 is “Transforming the narrative: Contribution at home, at work, in the arts and in policymaking”. 
  2. International Children’s Book Day (ICBD) is annually observed across the globe on or around 2 April, the birth anniversary of the Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, known for his fairy tales and stories. International Children’s Book Day 2023 was observed on 2 April under the theme “I am a book, read me”.
  3. Dalai Lama named an eight-year-old Mongolian boy born in the United States the 10th Khalkha Jetsun Dhampa Rinpoche-the third highest rank in Tibetan Buddhism on 27 March, 2023.
  4. In Ladakh, Lieutenant Governor Brig. (Dr.) BD Mishra (Rtd) inaugurated the 3rd edition of the Ladakh Literary Conference at Syed Mehdi Memorial Hall Kargil.
  5. Sumil Vikamsey, who is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cash Business at Hitachi Payment Services, has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the company.  
  6. Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Anupriya Patel inaugurated the 23rd edition of INDIASOFT at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 27 March, 2023.
  7. IIT Madras researchers have developed a three-dimensional (3D) paper-based portable device that can detect adulteration in milk within 30 seconds.
  8. Vani Tripathi Tikoo, an actor and member of the Indian censor board, has written her debut children’s book titled ‘Why Can’t Elephants be Red??’ published by Niyogi Books.
  9. India’s first quantum computing-based telecom network link has been made operational between Sanchar Bhawan and National Informatics Centre office in New Delhi.
  10. Indian industrialist Naveen Jindal has been awarded a lifetime achievement award by the University of Texas at Dallas for his accomplishments in industry, politics, and education.
  11. In order to conserve and protect the Great Indian Bustard, which is considered one of the largest flying birds in the world, the Government of India is implementing various measures throughout the country.
  12. The UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has appointed his brother, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as the Vice President of the country. The appointment was endorsed by the UAE Federal Supreme Council.
  13. Star Sports, a channel which is owned by The Walt Disney Company India, has appointed Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh as its brand ambassador.
  14. The World Bank has approved a $363m loan to provide clean drinking water to two million rural households in the Indian state of Karnataka.
  15. During the International Zero Waste Day 2023 in New Delhi, Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep S. Puri, announced that 1000 cities are targeted to achieve a 3-Star Garbage Free rating by October 2024.
  16. On 31 March 2023, renowned Malayalam writer, Sarah Thomas, a two-time Kerala Sahitya Akademi Awardee, passed away in Trivandrum, Kerala, at the age of 88.
